I am writing to bring your attention to an event coming up on Wednesday, September 11th that will involve our entire Freshman Class, selected upperclassmen (approximately 20) and multiple staff members. The event is a one-day trip to the Silver Lake Camp for our freshmen class. Here are the details:

• Date: Wednesday, September 11
• Depart: 8:30 AM
• Return: 2:15
• Location: Silver Lake Camp
• Students Involved: All freshmen students, select ASB students, and select upperclassmen
• Staff Involved: All Freshmen Class CCR Advisers and various station leaders and support staff (approximately 20 total)
• Purpose: Build Positive connections with and among students while sharing important HS information
• Topics Covered: Digital Citizenship, True Colors, Senior Student Panel, Team Building, Successful Students, Cardinal Inclusion, and the RED Expectations Matrix

Freshmen CCR advisers will attend the camp and participate with their groups but are not expected to facilitate the session. Rather, be present and engage with students to maximize engagement

For teachers and staff who won't be attending, please do not request a personal leave day as we will be at our absolute max for substitutes. Also, if you are a teacher who has all freshmen but is not needed to attend the camp, we may need you to cover depending on our sub situation.
