I am originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, but spent a lot of time growing up in Colorado and Connecticut.  After graduating from the United States Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, I served as an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Air Force before separating to raise a family.  Desiring to further serve my community as an educator, I went back to school to earn my Master's in Teaching, Mathematics Education from Western Governors University.

 

I enjoy spending time with my husband, four children, and four dogs.  Two of my sons graduated from Medical Lake High School and are in college (University of Washington and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy); one son is here at the high school; and, my daughter attends Medical Lake Middle School.  I'm a fan of all sports, but my heart bleeds blue and orange for my Denver Broncos.  I am an avid reader, former crafter, and life long learner.
