Connor is a member of Future Business Leaders of America which largely shaped his future career goals. He qualified for nationals his sophomore year and placed 4th at regionals in business law and global business this year. With the success he has met in FBLA he knew his future career goals in engineering would have to incorporate business. His ideal future career would be to become a liaison between engineering and business. He has applied to Eastern Washington University, Arizona State University, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the University of Washington. He plans to complete a degree in Engineering Management.
In Gabriel's time at Medical Lake High School, he has been involved in the Robotics Club, Key Club, Knowledge Bowl, varsity soccer, band, National Honor Society, and jazz band. Academically, he has attained the rank of National Merit Commended Scholar, been a member of the Principal’s Honor Roll every year of high school, and has maintained a 4.0 GPA for the three and a half years he has been at Medical Lake High School, taking 10 AP Classes in total. Musically, he has received two outstanding soloist awards at the Lionel Hampton jazz festival, been a member of the WMEA All-State Wind Symphony, WMEA All- State Wind Ensemble, and NAfME All-Northwest Concert Band on percussion, received five superior ratings at regional Solo and Ensemble Competitions and have qualified to participate at the WMEA State Solo and Ensemble Competition three times on percussion. He intends on pursuing a degree in music education at the University of Northern Colorado. He will begin his studies there this fall as a music major.
